In China, the online broadcasting rights were sold at a record price of US$280,000 per episode, making it the most expensive Korean drama ever to be sold in China at the time. As of 23 January 2015, it has an accumulated view of 1 billion on Chinese video-sharing website Youku

My Love from the Star (Ananthayen a Tharu Kumara) is a South Korean fantasy romantic comedy television series written by Park Ji-eun and directed by Jang Tae-yoo. Produced by Choi Moon-suk and Moon Bo-mi, it stars Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Soo-hyun, Park Hae-jin, Yoo In-na, Shin Sung-rok and Ahn Jae-hyun. It tells the story of an extraterrestrial alien who landed on Earth in 1609 during the Joseon Dynasty and 400 years later falls in love with a top female actor.

The series aired for 21 episodes on Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) from December 18, 2013, to February 27, 2014. According to Nielsen Korea, it recorded an average nationwide television viewership rating of 24 percent. It garnered widespread popularity during its broadcast and sparked trends in fashion, make-up and restaurants. It has been also credited for spreading Korean wave.

My Love from the Star received several accolades. At the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards, it received nine nominations with three wins; Jun Ji-hyun won the Grand Prize – Television and Kim Soo-hyun won the Most Popular Actor – Television. The series won the Korea Drama Award for Best Drama, the Seoul International Drama Award for Excellent Korean Drama and the Magnolia Award for Best Foreign Television Series.

Full House is a 2004 South Korean television series starring Song Hye-kyo, Rain, Han Eun-jung and Kim Sung-soo. Based on the manhwa Full House by Won Soo-yeon, the romantic comedy series aired on KBS2 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:50 (KST) timeslot for 16 episodes from July 14 to September 2, 2004.

Considered a pioneer of the "romantic comedy" genre in Korean drama, the drama was a great success in Asia and helped propel the Korean Wave.

Boys Over Flowers Season 2, known in Japan as Hana Nochi Hare: HanaDan Next Season, is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio. It is a sequel to Kamio's Boys Over Flowers (1992–2003), which is the best-selling shōjo manga series of all time. The story takes place at Eitoku Academy, two years after the members of the F4 have graduated, with all new characters.

The manga began serialization with its first three chapters in Shueisha's digital online magazine Shōnen Jump+ from February 15, 2015 to December 22, 2019 with its chapters collected into fourteen tankōbon volumes as of December 2019. Viz Media began publishing an English version the same day it began in Japan as part of their Jump Start initiative. They published the first four chapters in their digital magazine Weekly Shonen Jump before shifting to posting the chapters for free on their website.

The manga ended on December 22, 2019, and the fifteenth volume was published on March 15, 2020.

Boys Over Flowers is a 2009 South Korean television series based on the Japanese shōjo manga series Boys Over Flowers written by Yoko Kamio. The series is about a working-class girl who gets tangled up in the lives of a group of wealthy young men in her high school. It earned high viewership ratings in South Korea and popularity throughout Asia. Starring Ku Hye-sun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon and Kim So-eun, it aired for 25 episodes on KBS2 from January 5 to March 31, 2009. Lee Min-ho's role as the leader of F4 completely contrasted his role in Mackerel Run, which earned him overseas popularity.

Descendants of the Sun (Himanthara) is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo, and Kim Ji-won. It aired on KBS2 from February 24 to April 14, 2016 for 16 episodes. KBS then aired three additional special episodes from April 20 to April 22, 2016 containing highlights and the best scenes from the series, the drama's production process, behind-the-scenes footage, commentaries from cast members and the final epilogue.

The series was a major hit in South Korea where it drew a peak audience share of 38.8%. It received several awards, such as winning the Grand Prize in television at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards; and was named the Most Popular Show of the year by Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corporation.

The show was broadcast across Asia where it was hugely popular,and has been credited with a rise in tourism to Korea. Local adaptations has aired in the Philippines and Vietnam,and an adaptation is planned in China.The actors in the show also received international recognition.
